How It Works
Everything you need to know about how live screen printing and live event printing works, what we need from you, and how it compares to traditional screen printing. From space and power requirements to production speed — the logistics are covered so you can plan with confidence.
This Is
Live Screen Printing.
We deploy our mobile printing service at a place and time of your choosing and print wearables (or other items) that can be customized by anyone in attendance. It's a great option for fan zones, fan festivals, experiential marketing, and corporate event entertainment because it can be customized for the exact interaction you wish the event-goer to have.
They'll pick a shirt size and color, a design that has been pre-determined before the show, and where on the item they want to place the design — front, back, at the neck line, even upside down. We can sell the item on your behalf or give it away as a promotional piece.
What We Need To Get Started.
Three simple things for setup to get the rig running.
Our minimum footprint — a dry area for our blocked-out setup,
with one-direction traffic flow.
One dedicated circuit per screen and heat press, one shared circuit for both sewing machines — generators available if needed.
The setup — from layout to ready-to-print in two hours or less.
We move fast.
End It Movement
at Passion.
A limited edition T-shirt brand activation at Passion — a three-day Christian gathering at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, drawing over 65,000 attendees.
End It Movement is a global campaign to combat modern-day slavery and human trafficking, launched at the Passion conference.
The campaign raised over $8.3 million — these shirts feature a howling wolf encircled by "Raise Your Voice" alongside the movement's signature red X. Printed on-site and available exclusively during the event.
Three Types Of Equipment.
We offer three different production methods depending on your activation needs and venue setup.
Each has different power requirements and throughput capabilities.
Screen Presses
Manual screen printing presses with wet ink. This puts on a great show as the screens spin and the operator pulls a squeegee across them. It's a crowd favorite, with an optional, safe hands-on experience where attendees can pull their own print.
Heat Presses
High-temperature heat presses for transfers, vinyl, and direct-to-film applications. This setup utilizes fast turnaround for pre-designed graphics. Choose this option if you want to maximize output from while using the smallest footprint possible.
Patch Sewing Machines
Industrial sewing machines for direct patch application. This setup is perfect for branded designs, logos, or other custom embellishments and has a nice show quality of thread being used in conjunction with detailed graphics and visuals.
Screen Press
1X Activation.
Direct printing requires a screen press style printer that uses traditional printing methods along with a heat press to cure the ink. The result is a top-notch, buttery smooth product that is soft to the touch. Your guests are already in love with it.
Screen Press
2X Activation.
Everything in the single-press setup — doubled.
Two screen presses, two heat presses, and four operators running in sync to push 150 prints per hour. Same buttery soft result, twice the throughput.
The right call when your crowd gets bigger.
Speed & Volume.
Built for high-throughput activations.
Production volume that scales with crowd size and demand on the floor.
Up to 300 brand impressions per hour when demand warrants the throughput.
Single-day, multi-day, or all-night runs — we adapt to your schedule.
Shirts are ready to wear once they're printed, and people tend to wear them with pride immediately.
Inside, Outside, Anywhere.
Indoor or outdoor — festival grounds, VIP tents, corporate lobbies
— anywhere we have a dry area about 10ft × 15ft and power.
We are based in Atlanta, GA, but can ship our gear anywhere and travel to your event.
We ship using LTL truck service to anywhere domestically within 5 days.
Loading dock or lift gate service is required.
Frequently Asked Questions.
What items can you print or decorate?
Shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, bandanas, tote bags, hats, and more. If you have something specific in mind, reach out and we'll let you know if it works with our production setup.
Do clients supply their own artwork?
Yes. Clients provide print-ready artwork before the event. We'll walk you through what formats work best and what to avoid for clean live printing results.
How many designs can you offer at one event?
Multiple designs can be loaded before the event. Guests choose from the available options on-site — the typical setup is two to four designs, though we can accommodate more depending on your brand activation scope.
Can printed items be given away as promotional merchandise?
Absolutely. A giveaway brand activation is one of our most popular formats — attendees take home branded items, creating a direct and lasting connection between your brand and your guests.
How long does it take to print one shirt?
Approximately 45 to 60 seconds per piece on a single screen press. With a full multi-press rig running, throughput reaches 75 to 300 prints per hour depending on configuration.
How do I figure out how many prints per hour I need?
Start with the impressions per hour your activation needs to hit. Estimate peak attendance and how much of the audience you want to leave wearing your brand — a typical brand activation engages 30 to 50 percent of attendees. From there, match your throughput target to the rig: one press handles 75 prints per hour, two presses 150 per hour, three presses 225 per hour, and four presses 300 per hour. Our high volume capability breakdown on the homepage compares each setup side by side.
What are the space and power requirements?
A single-press setup needs a minimum 10×15ft footprint and one dedicated 20-amp circuit. A two-press setup requires 15×15ft and two dedicated circuits. Generator power is available if venue power is unavailable.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking four to eight weeks in advance for a standard brand activation. For large festivals or multi-day events, earlier is better — especially during peak season in spring and fall. Rush bookings are handled case by case.
Do you travel outside of Atlanta?
Yes. We are Atlanta-based and available for events nationwide. We regularly travel to the West Coast, Northeast, and everywhere in between. Travel costs are factored into your quote.
Do you work at sports events and team activations?
Yes — we can print at sports activations, fan zones, fan festivals, and team merchandise drops. Custom jerseys with player names, numbers, sponsor logos, flags, and badges all run live while fans watch. Every piece is one-of-a-kind. See our activations page for examples of what we've done on the field, on the sidelines, and at fan tents.
Can attendees bring their own garments to print?
In some cases, yes. Cotton and cotton-blend fabrics work best. Synthetic-heavy blends and thin fabrics may not hold ink properly. Let us know in advance and we can evaluate before the event.
What is the difference between screen printing and heat transfer?
Screen printing applies ink directly to the fabric through a mesh screen, producing a soft, durable print that becomes part of the garment. Heat transfers apply a pre-printed film using heat and pressure. We specialize in direct screen printing for the best feel and longevity.
Is live event screen printing as durable as traditional screen printing?
Yes — direct screen printing with plastisol ink is highly durable. Prints are heat-cured immediately after printing, producing the same quality you'd expect from a commercial print shop. Standard wash care instructions apply.
How much does a live event printing activation cost?
Pricing varies based on event duration, rig size, number of operators, travel, and whether garments are included. We don't publish fixed rates because every activation is different — contact us with your event details for a custom quote.
What's included beyond the presses?
Our staff are seasoned veterans who can be relied upon to positively represent your agency and client, troubleshoot any unexpected problems, and get the job done without hiccups. They are professionals. Leading up to the event, we will be at your service to gatekeep and ensure we're setting up for success.
Can you give me a trade show booth idea?
Yes. Using a mobile printing service for a brand activation is a highly effective trade show booth idea — have attendees line up to watch their shirt get printed on the spot, which drives foot traffic, extends dwell time, and gives everyone something to walk away wearing. We work within your branded aesthetic and print any design pre-approved before the show.
Can I bring you a trade show booth idea and discuss if it could be implemented?
Yes. We frequently collaborate with clients on brand activation ideas and event activation concepts — finding new ways to engage their audiences using our printing and decorating techniques.
It's exciting for us to find new ideas that haven't been done yet.
Do you offer white label event activation services?
Yes, on request. We can operate fully behind the scenes — no Danger.Live branding on-site, no mention of who's running the equipment. Our staff follows your event dress code, and any case branding can be easily covered. We can pass our service to your clients cleanly. We can be as invisible to your brand activation ideas as you want. Just let us know your preference.
Do you work with experiential marketing agencies as a production partner?
Yes, and we love it. Agencies regularly hire us to power their experiential marketing campaigns as a turnkey production partner, presenting the service directly to their clients under their own brand. We handle all the logistics — equipment, staff, setup, and production — while the agency manages the client relationship. If you're building out an experiential marketing campaign and need a reliable behind-the-scenes partner to represent your brand seamlessly, reach out.
